AMBER BUSUTTIL MULLEN
Amber Busuttil Mullen is the firm’s expert on executive compensation and employee benefits, with over 20 years’ experience.
Amber’s practice covers a full spectrum of issues impacting companies and their founders, executives, and employees, both in the context of mergers and acquisitions, and also on a standalone, ongoing basis. Amber designs and implements incentive equity arrangements of all types, including increasingly popular “phantom” stock plans. She also represents C-level executives individually.
Having both a law and business background, Amber addresses her clients’ needs with a pragmatic and results-oriented perspective, taking into account factors such as employee retention, integration, and corporate culture, together with legal considerations.
Amber practiced at Gibson Dunn and Proskauer in New York and Los Angeles prior to joining Pacific Tax and Compensation Counsel. She was voted a “Rising Star” in 2013 and 2014, and a “Super Lawyer” by Southern California Super Lawyers every year from 2015 through 2025, and has spoken, written and podcasted on executive compensation matters affecting both employers and employees.
Amber received her J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School, and was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Amber received her B.A. from Stanford University.
Amber is active in the community, having served on the Board of the Sun Valley Museum of Art in Ketchum, Idaho, and on Boards and committees of various non-profits in her native Los Angeles.
